Notes From Raleigh: Work, Motherhood, and Everything In Between
Oh hi! Welcome to my corner of the world. I have wanted to do this for so long, yet here I am rewriting this intro more than I expected to.
My name is Autumn DuBois and I live in Raleigh, North Carolina. During the day, I run or co-run a few companies primarily focused around homes, properties and real estate. Yet, they are so much more than that to me. They are a way for me to provide value to people who may need it, whether that is a buyer or seller, a property owner or even another real estate agent who may be addicted to growth and learning like I am.
On paper, that sounds somewhat simple. But in real life, it’s been layered and stretching and sometimes heavier than I imagined. There have been seasons of growth that felt exciting and fast. And there have been seasons that felt quieter, harder, and more refining. But I pride myself on being an open book about it all, because who knows who it might help?
The last few years especially have made me rethink what success means. What stability means. What kind of life I actually want to build, not just what looks impressive from the outside.
Raleigh has been the backdrop to all of it. I’ve watched this city grow. I’ve helped families plant roots here. I’ve built my own roots here. My son is growing up here. My routines are here. My favorite coffee shops, school drop-offs, late-night work sessions, and early morning walks, they’re all here.
So here you will find musings on life in Raleigh NC, being a mom, a business owner and just a general peek into things I feel the push to share. I certainly don’t have it all figured out, but I think there is a lot of value in living out loud even when it is not perfect. That is where connection and impression happen for me and I hope to find some like-minded friends here who feel the same.
I don’t have everything figured out. I’m still evolving. Still recalibrating. Still building. But I care deeply about creating something steady and meaningful - in my work, in my home, and in the community around me.
This space is where I want to write about that. So follow along as I share things like:
What I’m noticing about life in the Triangle.
What I’m learning about leadership and reinvention.
What it looks like to build something while also raising a child.
Why I still believe in ownership - of a home, of a business, of your direction.
And some simple things too like books I’m reading, recipes I am loving or home trends that have caught my eye.

A place where growth is allowed to look real while passing along some joy at the same time.
